Financial Assistance
Below is information on organizations that can provide financial assistance for your child's basketball fees.
If you intend on applying for financial assistance from any source, please contact the office first to ensure that your registration is processed and that a space is secured.
Once funding has been approved, please let the office know and provide any reference numbers you may have received. This will allow us to reconcile the payments when received.
We believe everyone should be able to enjoy the game of basketball, regardless of their financial situation. And so does the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a charitable program that helps kids in financial need aged 4 to 18 participate in organized sport and recreation activities.
If you are experiencing some challenges with fees, please give them a call toll-free at: 1-844-YES-PLAY
Jumpstart accepts applications all year round. Make your confidential call to see if you qualify for support for your House League or rep fees.
Please contact the office to assist you in processing your child's basketball registration at admin@ynba.ca.
KidSport Ontario provides under-resourced children and youth, 18 years old and younger, with a season of sport of their choice in existing local sport clubs/programs through a confidential application process for registration and/or equipment subsidy.
Sport Aurora Believes That All Kids Can Play in Aurora!
Removing barriers and increasing participation rates, particularly in the youth segment of our Community, is a priority for us. Financial barriers are sometimes the only reason why some kids can’t join healthy, socially beneficial organized sport in our Town, so to reduce or eliminate that barrier we have developed the Sport Aurora All Kids Can Play Program.
The Town of East Gwillimbury is committed to helping youth (under age 19), elite athletes and community groups of the Town to participate in various activities and community programs.
To support this commitment, the Town has established a “Youth and Community Initiatives Fund”, which is funded through the Mayor & Council Charity Golf Tournament held annually in September.
The purpose of the Youth and Community Initiatives Fund is to provide financial assistance to both individuals and community groups to help them participate in or organize various activities offered throughout the Town.
The Georgina Cares Fund provides funding to children up to the age of 15, who live in the Town of Georgina, to take part in extra-curricular activities or for special needs when their parents/guardians cannot afford to do so.
WE STRIVE TO MAKE A CHILDS DREAM INTO AN OPPORTUNITY.
