Playing at various levels of basketball throughout his life, he first got involved with coaching like many volunteers do to teach the game to his two children. Initially volunteering as a house-league coach in YNBA (previously Newmarket Basketball Club), Aldo progressed to coach rep basketball for 8 years. In the process Aldo received his Level two NCCP coaching certification. Aldo joined the board of YNBA in October of 2012 as secretary and has been on the board since.
