Gad Perlmutter

Gad is an award winning coach with over 25 years of basketball experience complemented by a successful career as a high school and college player. Currently he is YNBA’s Technical Director overseeing the club’s player development and serves as the lead advisor for the coaches. He is also overseeing JUEL program including the prep and academy divisions.

His most recent accolades include Juel Coach of the Year (2023), and OBLX Championship U19 Women Gold (2022).  As York North Basketball Association’s ’99 Girls Division 1 Head Coach, his team consistently won Division One Gold Medals at the Ontario Provincial Championships for four (4) years (2014-2017) and Ontario Basketball’s Rep Coach of the Year (2011). Gad also volunteered as Head Coach for Newmarket High School, winning four (4) consecutive York Region Championship titles heading to AAA OFFSA (2014-2017). As an Assistant Coach with the Vaughan Panther Boys team, he led their team to 6 consecutive Division One Gold Medals (2008-2012) at the Ontario Provincial Championship.  Gad also earned athletic accolades as a player at George Brown College (MVP 1994).

Over the years, Gad has worked with exceptional athletes helping them achieve their goals and playing at the next level. He’s had players go on to the NBA, play professionally overseas, NCAA, OUA and numerous colleges.
